The exhibition celebrates the work of artists who live and paint close to the Tjukurpa in their own country, at community based art centres. The exhibition underlines the importance of provenance and ethical acquisition of works.

Tjukurpa Pulkatjara: The Power of the Law is an insight into 48 benchmark works by senior artists from the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara lands, featuring works from major private and public collections.

Published on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Tjukurpa Pulkatjara, the Power of the Law’ at the South Australian Museum during the 50th anniversary of the Adelaide Festival in March 2010.
