A hardcover edition with illustrated front board. There is a previous owner’s ink inscription on the front of inside page. There is foxing and toning throughout but the text, fold-out maps, illustrations and drawings are clear and legible. The binding is loose and some pages are cellotaped.
There is rubbing and wear to the edges of the book. The material at the spine of the book has torn but is still attached. Page XV is loose.
The book has been enclosed in plastic covering to prevent any further damage.
