A first edition hardcover copy with black cloth and gilt lettering. There is some damage to the bottom of the spine and rubbing to the edges along with some staining to the back of the book. There is a pen inscription on the inside front board. There is foxing and toning throughout the book but the text and colour and black and white plates are clear and legible. there is no dust jacket.
