The Boy’s Own Paper was a British paper aimed at young and teenage boys, published from 1879 to 1967. From 1879 each year’s issues were bound together and sold as the Boy’s Own Annual.

Volumes 8 and 9, in hardcover with brown boards, illustrated with gilt lettering and black decorations. There are numerous chromo-lithographs in both volumes and some have tears and rubbing. There is toning and foxing throughout but the text, diagrams and drawings are clear and legible. Some pages have small tears and the frontispiece of volume 8 has a tear. The fold-out diagrams have some tearing. The front boards have rubbing to the edges and there is some wear to the spine and marks on the front and back cover.
